Breaking Ground and Breaking Barriers: How Edison XFC is Charging the Future
Big news is coming from the heart of Las Vegas: Edison XFC is set to break ground on its pilot electric vehicle (EV) charging station. But this isn’t just about another charging station—it’s about rethinking what EV charging can be. With a focus on ultra-fast, solar-powered charging and a commitment to transforming the public charging landscape, Edison XFC is not only breaking ground physically but also breaking barriers in the EV world.
This milestone marks a significant step for the company and for EV owners, skeptics, and enthusiasts alike.
So come, take a journey with us, and dive into why this development matters. Let’s answer those questions you may have, and explore how Edison XFC’s approach is reshaping the future of EV charging—one station at a time; starting with our pilot station in Clark County, Nevada… Vegas baby!
The pilot station being built in Las Vegas isn’t just another spot to charge your vehicle—it’s a reimagining of how EV charging should look, work, and feel. Our cutting-edge station is designed to combine the best of modern technology: high efficiency solar energy, state-of-the-art battery energy storage system (BESS), and ultra-fast charging hardware, all powered by a sophisticated energy management system (EMS), along with high-efficiency direct-current (DC) coupling across the solar-battery-EV energy flow. Together, these elements promise to make charging an EV as seamless as refueling a traditional car—and just as fast. Finally!
But why Las Vegas? As Edison XFC’s CEO Victor Lee puts it, “My HQ is here, and the complexity of the integrated system requires a lot of personal attention and focus on the details; particularly for this first station’s build out.” This decision to begin at home is a testament to the importance of getting this right the first time. By choosing a location where they can give personal attention to every detail, Edison XFC is setting up this pilot station for success and laying the groundwork for future expansion.

The pilot station’s technology also directly addresses a key problem in the current EV ecosystem: many chargers simply aren’t fast enough. As identified in our teaser deck, only about 9.4% of public chargers in the U.S. are rated 350kW DC fast chargers—and even these often fail to deliver the real-world charging speed they promise. Our XFC (“Extreme Fast-Charging”) pilot station, on the other hand, is designed to consistently deliver an ultra-fast charging experience, capable of getting an EV to 80% capacity in as little as 10 minutes, for a range of around 150-200 miles. This is a game-changer for drivers who are looking for more convenience, less downtime, and the ability to go further without waiting. Afterall, the transition from internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to EVs should not come at the expense of our precious time and changing of our lifestyles.
Why You Should Care
- EV Owners: For current EV drivers, the biggest challenges often come down to range anxiety and the time it takes to charge. Edison XFC’s pilot station tackles these concerns head-on, reducing charging times to as little as 10 minutes—essentially creating a ‘refueling’ experience that’s on par with traditional gasoline. No more sitting around for half an hour, one-hour or sometimes more, just to get enough juice to get back on the road. Heck No!
- The Skeptics: If you’re skeptical about EVs because you don’t think the infrastructure is there yet, this pilot station is a direct response to those doubts. Edison XFC is working to make EV charging not just feasible, but convenient and quick, even in busy locations. The use of off-grid solar power also means these stations won’t always be tied to the traditional electric grid, providing more resilience and reliability.
- Investors: If you’re an investor looking for the next big leap in sustainable transportation, this milestone matters. It’s a proof of concept that, if successful, will pave the way for a broader expansion—both in the U.S. and beyond. With a vision for licensing, franchising, and strategic partnerships, Edison XFC is positioning itself as a leader in the EV infrastructure space. The value lies in the operational efficiency and profitability of Edison’s approach. The energy arbitrage model along with self-generated solar power, enables Edison to optimize the timing of power usage, resulting in higher gross margins, stronger financial returns and a sustainable business model. By investing in this vision, you’re not just supporting a company—you’re backing a solution to one of the most significant challenges facing the electric vehicle industry. (Learn More & Invest here)
- Local Community: For the community in Las Vegas, this station represents an opportunity to be on the cutting edge of technology. It brings jobs, foot traffic, and an image of being at the forefront of innovation in sustainable energy solutions. The Las Vegas pilot station isn’t just a benefit to EV owners—it’s a point of pride for the local community and a demonstration of what’s possible when innovation, community and commitment come together.
